A few questions about an upcoming visit to campus with my daughter
My daughter was accepted to Tech a few weeks ago, and we're coming into town this weekend. I've been back a few times in the past few years, but spent most of those visits outside and inside Lane Stadium, and inside bars and restaurants around town. My knowledge of campus and surrounding areas is pretty dated. My daughter is very active and outdoorsy, so I want to be sure to show her that side of Tech. A few questions:
Is War Memorial Gym now closed? Is the McComas Gym the only student rec facility? What about the Venture Out Center? Worth a visit?
Any hikes that are close by and relatively short (because we won't have a ton of extra time) that show off the natural beauty of the area?
Any natural rock climbing nearby? Looks like there's a bouldering wall at Venture Out but maybe that's it for indoor climbing on campus?
TIA.
