FWIW the European leagues are in their offseason, so they have to wait unti

August for the season to begin again. While Southern Hemi leagues are in full swing for the most part. Several of the South American leagues and the Mexican league does something rather unusual where they have 2 "seasons" within 1 season. The first season (or Fall Season) you play everyone once and a "champion" is crowned at the end. Then they take a 2-3 week break before starting the second season (or Spring Season). The Spring Season teams play the reverse fixture and a champion is crowned. Then they will have a playoffs where the 2 champions will face each other. If the same team is crowned champion for both seasons, then the second placed team gets to play in the championship game. One of the leagues, maybe the Mexican league?, has a 4-team playoffs where the top 2 teams for each season gets to participate in it.
