Supposedly he was one heck of a RB at USC. He won 2 natties as a player
in 1931 and 1933. I guess VT was hoping his experience under Howard Jones would rub off on him as a HC. Instead, they didn't even get the HC who went 16-9-2 the 3 seasons he was HC at 2 JUCO schools (San Bernardino and Pasadena).
