Well, then mine are defective about every 6 months. I finally stopped

buying First Alert, and switched over to Kidde and haven’t had any issues since.

Replace it with one with a battery, you can now get them with a 10 yr

They do. But it’s not the singe battery beep. It’s the 3 beeps.
