Is that “new”. I got a ticket back around 2005 for 34 in a 25.

Not in a school zone or anything. Town of Christiansburg cop was a jerk. Took a VASAP class so it would be removed from my record. When they went around the room to hear what everyone did to require the class there were some really good ones…car crashes, extreme speeding, alcohol, and then there’s me…”I was going 34 in a 25”. Everyone laughed. The instructor wanted to know who wrote the ticket because that was insane. She saw the name of the officer and and was like “oh, I see, yeah…that guy is a d**k”

That law is for the speed zone cameras only. And it is relatively new.
