discussions like this begin. Could FIFA have predicted red cards that could be debated and withdrawn and established an immediate avenue of review AFTER a VAR decision? Sure, but they no doubt felt they had provided ample opportunity to determine if a call on the pitch was correct. Has any player or nation ever been happy with a red card? Not likely.
