UEFA(European Football) is commenting. Appeals by UEFA to have it overturned and to have the decision defended(by USA and CONCACAF) were due 30 min ago. It's turned into an unfortunate distraction. There really SHOULD be a red card appeal process at these tournaments. The fact that there isn't in the age of VAR is kind of nuts. If a panel of refs thinks a decision on the field is harsh after the fact, they should be able to overturn it and leave the missing of a partial game as the full punishment and play on.
