Since my mother is an avid Dylan fan, I'm not sure how to answer that

question. I do think pop artists tend to rely more on autotune for their background music. Plus, my mother saw Dylan in concert when he was in Roanoke and she said Dylan and The Band played basically for 2+ hours straight that night. I think the concert lasted approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes. I'm not sure there are too many pop artists today who could perform that long of a concert night after night without relying on lip syncing and/or autotune during the show. Unfortunately, Dylan had to give up playing the guitar because of arthritis, but he can still play a mean harmonica and piana. :-)
