I've never given much thought to all of this, but your point is interesting
I took a dive to see what Pete Best looked like, and for sure, he had it going on. I read in the linked article that Paul McCartney called in while Epstein was in the middle of the firing, anxious to see if it had been done. Makes it appear McCartney was very intent on seeing Best gone. Hmmm.
