I was at that same show
Had seen Kiss previously in Greensboro on Destroyer tour - the Destroyer tour was totally over the top, fire & exploding everything.
Trivia - Uriah Heep bassist on that tour that came to Roanoke was Trevor Bolder, who was in David Bowie's Spiders from Mars. Lead singer was John Lawton, who briefly replaced longtime Heep vocalist David Byron. I had several UH albums back in the day. (Now if only I could remember useful info.)
