If you like naval history, there are two that I would recommend...

Dreadnought: Britain, Germany, and the coming of the Great War Castles of Steel: Britain, Germany, and the Winning of the Great War at Sea Both by Robert K. Massie, a US Navy veteran. Read those two back-to-back. The second is basically a sequel of the first. Best naval history books that I've ever read.
