You CAN develop a bee allergy over time. I had a doctor tell me that when->

I got stung about 15-20 times a number of years ago. Ran over a nest cutting grass. My wife insisted I go to emergency room even though I preferred the cussing loudly and rubbing my legs with a cold wet rag method... The doctor IMMEDIATELY took me back and gave me a Benadryl (I think) shot., even though I kept saying I was fine. He said that bee sting venom NEVER leaves your body, and the cumulative effect of getting stung over time CAN trigger the same allergy reaction as someone who already HAS the allergy..
