My Dad, who was wounded in combat in Korea, was in Africa

with the US Foreign Service (after Army retirement) when M*A*S*H* first aired. When he was back in the US between posts I suggested he watch it with me. He was quick to react that there was nothing funny about the Korean conflict, but then he caught his first episode and he was hooked. He said it was remarkably accurate in all aspects of covering the Army then and there.
