It's not entirely made up

There are, or at least were, linemen on strike (because their employer hasn't paid them) FEMA is being squishy about reimbursements to said employers (which is not to the point of non-payment) Some of these linemen have been on duty through two hurricanes (so, predating just Helene) What it has all the hallmarks of is a headline that was screamed with much outrage by someone looking to spread their outrage to people predisposed to being outraged ... that was dutifully parroted without anyone doing any deeper digging because they wanted to believe the outrage of it all ** Edited by Beerman at 11/1/2024, 3:06:58 PM
