Then encourage them to work a summer job. Hard manual labor it best for...

...generating the motivation to do well in school so they can find a job that's physically easier with their degree. I probably would have gotten better grades if I had enlisted in the Marines right out of high school. Four years of hard work would have gotten the "teenager" out of me and realign my focus on academic achievement...lol
