Well yeah, same for you...
It's hard work that essentially ends badly, the person doesn't get better, there's no payback at the end.. If anything it's made me a better person in that I can greatly sympathise with someone in similar circumstances like yourself. I haven't always been that way.
My mom had dementia for a long time, she was in a home so I wasn't doing the work, but it's been like 20 years of this now, today is a whole new world to me. Take care.
