There's truth to that statement.
When we lived in Leesburg, VA, we had issues with squirrels tearing up everything in sight on our back deck. One fall afternoon, my nephew from MD came to visit. He had just shot his first squirrel, and, of course, I got the job of cleaning it. I saved the head and placed it on a steak in the middle of my wife's flowers. Squirrels ceased to be an issue after that.
