I fly home on May 8th
I'll be in Oxfordshire for my work trip. I actually lived there when my dad was in the Air Force (1984 - 1992) and my mom was from Leeds. I'll spend a weekend in the Leeds area and we'll probably head to Elland Road (Leeds stadium) and we'll be going to York. Definitely agree with you that York is worth visiting. I love it there.
I lived in a small village called Bloxham in Oxfordshire so I'll go see that for the first time since 1993. Bourton-on-the-Water is my dad's all time favorite town. I'll check that out some the first weekend.
I ended up booking a place on hotels.com in the Hammersmith area of London. A lot of people seemed to recommend the area when I did some research.
