I fly home on May 8th
I'll be in Oxfordshire for my work trip. I actually lived there when my dad was in the Air Force (1984 - 1992) and my mom was from Leeds. I'll spend a weekend in the Leeds area and we'll probably head to Elland Road (Leeds stadium) and we'll be going to York. Definitely agree with you that York is worth visiting. I love it there.
I lived in a small village called Bloxham in Oxfordshire so I'll go see that for the first time since 1993. Bourton-on-the-Water is my dad's all time favorite town. I'll check that out some the first weekend.
I ended up booking a place on hotels.com in the Hammersmith area of London. A lot of people seemed to recommend the area when I did some research.

@Chris Coleman looking for London ideas
I know you go over the UK fairly often. I'm going over there for a work trip in early May and then heading up to Yorkshire to visit family for a few days. I'm flying back from Heathrow so I wanted to hit up London for a couple of days. Any recommendations on areas to stay? Part of me is thinking of just staying around Heathrow (cheaper) and then taking the tube into London. I'm not too interested in doing the tourist thing (Tower of London, etc.). I want to just go to some cool parts of town and enjoy the city.

Golf Trip to Blacksburg Area Next Week - Need Advice
I'm heading out to Blacksburg next week for a golf trip. We're playing the River Course next Saturday, but I need a recommendation for a course to play next Friday. I met a sales rep for the Blacksburg Country Club at the Spring Game this year and she said to give her a call and she could maybe get us on, but I'm looking for some other options in the area. Are there any recommendations for some good courses (that are in good condition)? I was thinking Auburn Hills.
