Don't think the issue you brought up has anything to do with the zoom world

There are a lot of good reasons to travel and meet in person. The zoom world has it's value, but it also has some significant shortcomings. But, your point about nickel and diming over a meal when silly decisions on scheduling cause 100x that to be spent is valid.
