Dogs have a tremendous sense of empathy for humans
During covid when my daughter was suffering badly from all the BS put on these HS kids, we were asked to take in a male golden who was a "problem". The only problem was he needed a home with discipline and attention. Made a huge difference because he would just put his head on her lap, and her anxiety melted away. Then my son came home from 5 years in the Marines that included combat in Africa and the trauma of having three close friends commit suicide in consecutive months. He came to us in a very bad mental state. Cody just attached himself to my son, and they just became best friends.

Dogs, man. If you’ll indulge me, I have a feel-good story to share
