1979 Week 16 Redskins @ Cowboys

Skins had a surprisingly good season. But due to a point differential tiebreaker (that was soon after changed), they found themselves in the precarious position of a win giving them the division title and home field advantage while a loss meant no playoffs. This fact wasn’t ensured until halftime of their game after the Bears had beaten the Cardinals by 36 to get the point differential tiebreaker. Anyways, Skins led by 13 late after a Riggins 66 yd td run. But Staubach led the Cowboys on 2 late td drives to knock Washington out of playoffs. Went from division champs to home for Christmas in mere minutes. I’m still not over it. 😆 Second is McNabb 1998. Donovan may have thrown up before the td pass but I threw up after.
