There are multiple options. I'm not sure I'd call them affordable. Fubo

might have the best live tv lineup if you're all about sports. We have HuluTV and others have youtube. Prices are not really "cheap" anymore but you'll probably still beat what you were paying verizon. But by the time you add netflix, prime, Hbo, and any other subscriptions, you're likely at similar pricing to what verizon gave you.
