When the market is propped up by hopes the Fed

Is going to lower rates then strong economic data will actually hurt the stock market. But it’s dumb to take that position on a long term basis. Strong economies and earnings growth are the long term drivers of stock prices not the cost of capital. Just another reason never to trade short term as rationale behavior is more long term than short. There’s alot of people out there who bought over priced homes in the last 3-4 years with the goal of refinancing once mortgage rates dropped. That was a fools trade. We will unlikely see those 2-3% mortgage rates in our lifetimes and instead will have debt rates consistent with historical averages as they are right now. Mean reversion is tried and true.
