Is "retained" the bad contracts that were eaten?
If so, take the Mets number with a pinch of salt, because they spent $87.7 million on players who don't play for them.
Also, crazy that the Braves are No. 6 in payroll, but only No. 3 in their own division.
Also, wow Angles...$172 payroll, and $108 million of it on the injured list.
