I remember playing them in HS. You drive an hour plus from Roanoke, the locker room is like half a mile away, and you have to walk to the field through a gauntlet of people cursing you, little kids flipping you off, and all other sorts of abuse. Lost 10-7. The difference was a Chris Kinzer FG. Never been trash talked by a kicker before. Then we had to ride back cold and wet. The only worse experience was playing EC Glass.
