I'm curious
what would the decision have been 50-60 years ago...with very little news getting out...
Now with all the publicity out about Starliner - they can't take that chance - even if the odds were only minutely different than the standard "all systems go" chances of something going wrong - everybody now knows there might be an issue - no way you can take that chance - even if it is something unrelated that caused an issue.
Like playing ECU - you get them home safely, well ho-hum, you were supposed to win. Only news that gets reported will be bad.
