period of "free cookies" money (I don't call it free money because it was NOT free), many people like a lot of us banked that money because we didn't need it. Even those who were going to live off of it banked it upfront. It only makes sense that the free cookies would dwindle over time. Those who lived off of it have depleted it, often down to nothing (hence the accompanying huge increase in debt spending). Others have used it for things such as Fr8Dog is doing. I would be SHOCKED if the M2 money supply didn't go way down! I am not discounting their theory and the accompanying warnings, but no other instance in our history has included an ARTIFICIAL shutdown of the economy...My biggest concern was the huge volume JUMP in the overall money supply (hello inflation), not the fact that it is trying to normalize a bit.. Now, that doesn't mean there won't be a big correction. How could there not be? Too much money in circulation, stubborn inflation, "bogus" unemployment numbers (let's look at total hours worked, not who is actually looking to work).Oh yeahhh....DEBT. Monster debt/spending.. Yeah, I expect we are in for a rocky road a year AFTER the election (that is the timing our financial advisors think anyway), but I just think shrinking M2 is the inevitable catalyst, and not the culprit.
