I grew up with dogs and my wife’s a cat person. In 2020 we agreed to foster a little cat to help out an elderly family friend. The cat was older and previously had multiple owners and we think even lived outside as a stray for a bit. We decided to keep the cat and it became a part of the family but passed away at the end of last year. Looking back it was the best decision to keep the cat and give it a good home. Still miss her but glad for the time we had with her. Funny how they connect with you. But everyone’s situation is different so you have to make the best decision for your family of course.
