Several good museums (science & nature), LoDo for walkable restaurants ...

... zoo is decent (relatively new elephant area), botanic gardens also decent, union station historic and walkable neighborhood with a bunch of craft breweries. Aquarium is kind of odd. You can take the light rail train from the airport straight to union station for about $11. On the way back, for most airlines you can check bags where you get off the train and skip the airport part.
