Looking at the Irvin film is a fun watch. That guy just loves to play
football. And he seems born to play inside LB. He attacks blocks - he doesn't wait for the contact - sheds, and tackles. He's always on his toes, bopping around, leaning forward, and has a ton of speed from what I can tell. I do see how his size may be a drawback as he faces bigtime OL, but man, he has that position down pat. I'm happy to have him, and can't wait to see him on the field.

Good news is he's probably two years from really seeing the field and has time to put on some good mass. Bad news is unless he grows 2-3", no training program can do that.
All things equal, I'll take a natural football player over a perfect physical profile - especially a LB.

He didn't look close to 225 in his Jr film to my eyes. But as I said, he likely has at least 2+ years before he sees the field in any meaningful way.

Remember Corey Moore? He was a DE who starred at Virginia Tech, winning the 1999 Lombardi Award and Bronko Nagurski Trophy as the nation’s top defensive player and earning unanimous All-American honors. He was only 6'1" and 218 lbs.
