VT 2027 recruiting class #9, within striking distance of #6
Average rating per commit better (very slightly) than #8 USC and #7 PSU and very veryslightly worse than Clemson. It would SEEM 1 more commit and VT would jump both USC and PSU and 2 plus a slightly higher ave per commit (less than 5/100s needed) and VT jumps Clemson. Probably won’t happen and probably doesn’t matter because what matters is on the field. Very likely, VT recedes to the top 15 or 20 IMO. Regardless, every little win creates the momentum for the bigger win.

yep, lack of a 5* will hurt us (unless...) as Ohio State, USC, & teams
At that level start pulling in more of the top dudes and jump us. But we do have a lot of guys that are a point or two away from jumping from 3 to 4*. If some of them have big years or show out at some of the showcase events and get a ratings boost, it could anchor VT in the back end of the Top 10.

Let's just enjoy the fact that we're in the top-10 at all before worrying.

Has there been any new positive news since his visit?
I know he's still scheduled to visit Ohio State and Georgia this month. Beating them out will be a tall order or, more appropriately, a huge bill.
