Starters 2026 - My projections based on position groups
I expect there will be 15 new starters for the first game next season.
OFFENSE
1 Quarterback (obviously)
3 Offensive linemen
1 Tight end
2 Receivers
1 Running back (I think Overton wins the job)
DEFENSE
1 Defensive Tackle
1 Edge
2 Linebackers
1 Cornerback
1 Safety
1 "Star"
Your thoughts?

It was a coup for us to get him. He originally committed to PSU.

Chris Coleman has mentioned this several times. Franklin utilizes the Tight end position significantly different than the offensive coordinators under Pry. Unless he significantly improves his blocking, he won't get much playing time. They may actually play him as more of a receiver in mismatch situations instead of tight end. His NFL draft stock specifically mentions his blocking as an issue and could prevent him from getting drafted. I forgot his actual blocking grades, but they were far below even average.
