We certainly all want improved LB play and should improve this year
Spencer had strong PFF last year and with Chambers and a PSU transfer competing for playing time
Spare me all the Woodson talk…..he is listed on Outlands as a backup at Sting
He struggled on and off the field
We need focused talent to win

Rs-Freshman put up similar numbers as their senior starter who was injured mid season
Ethan played the tougher half which included Indiana and Ohio State
A transfer if he joins Obrien, Howle and Franklin would be better than most qbs on the market we could get

Transfers for Hokies versus Penn State
Was surprised to review one year’s portal starters. I counted “new” transfers just for this effort
At the end of this year Penn State started 8 transfers as compared to Hokies 11
For instance after 2024 playoff loss to Notre Dame resulted in zero WR catches they added three starters from the portal for this year
Apparently James Franklin prefers building from high school but readily adds talent when needs appear
This first roster will be very interesting

Franklin had several starters from portal this year
His Mike started who made third team all conference was a UNC transfer
Chris Coleman has him as a target for us
Two more starters on just defense were from Alabama and Georgia
I think our new recruiting staff is ready to build a roster
