Sucking up recruits hoping some stick.
Many programs appear to be grabbing as many new guys as they can interest. I can't help but wonder if this will leave some of the lesser attractive programs devoid of as many recruits they could have gotten in the old system. Someone posted below a screenshot of PSU's current woes but it revealed New Mexico State and USB are about as woeful. Don't really no why though. In a year or two I would guess we will see unimaginable portal numbers as it all shakes out from over signing. I'm digging this relatively small Coach Franklin first VT class. Next year will be larger and better as he has time pull his guys. Go Hokies

The roster limits recently changed
85 scholarships > 105 and no longer a 25-new-per-year means there's a lot of suction up to the top schools willing to spend. That won't be every year, but it will be for a couple at least. Schools that are less financially able are going to be building teams by portaling in I-AA performers and larger I-A castoffs.

It'll prob take a few yrs for programs to figure out how to manage this

This year will be portal heavy per CJF
So the final number (and thereby ranking) of this class may be lower than we recently trended.

Exactly
Although these two weeks have been great. Next month will be bigger considering next year.

Right. That's what he said the first day.
I'm happy with this class. But most of my post was not directed at that point.

Yep. It will be more interesting to see final roster grades
than recruiting class rankings going forward anyway.
