Not one to get too excited about HS film
Huhn looked the part and then some in CCs offensive signed podcast. Obvious great size wirh a strong and accurate arm as we would have guessed. And very catchable balls with great touch when needed as numerous beauties were shown. Again, as to be expected in highlight film.CC said the most ready QB VT has ever signed likely. One thing that caught my eye was CC pointing out that while Huhn is mainly a pocket passer, "he can run some". On the run clip he escaped the pocket and took off to the sideline for what looked to be a 10 yard gain. The result was a pretty impressive, not quite a blur, but very fast 60 yd TD run. True freshman but the tools are definitely there.

that. Meaning, his receivers were covered, but he put the ball in a spot where they had to make a tremendous effort to get to it, and did. I also noticed him doing that in the film, and it was wild to see. The guy is super talented, IMO. He may well be our starter by mid season next year.

Danny O’Brien recruited him at PSU and both followed JF to VT. I wonder if they can make him a franchise QB out of the box into the fire (unlikely). It’ll be interesting to see whether JF and O’Brien bring in a strong 1-year transfer QB indicating they’d give Troy a year of learning, a strong 2-year transfer QB indicating jury’s out on an early start, or a back up transfer QB indicating Troy’s scheduled for some freshman playing.
