have big seasons in this current landscape. They created a landscape where the same eight schools will contend annually. It's not going to change until seats become empty and people quit watching. I never watched a full game yesterday and quit attending games years ago.

VT is on par with Rutgers, Marshall, ODU, Purdue, and now Vandy. We aren't competing with anyone remotely close to making the playoffs. The Virginia Tech football program is dead. It's that simple. You don't regularly lose to teams like that and even sniff a conversation about the college football landscape. VT isn't remotely part of that landscape right now.

I haven’t been to a game or donated in years….
College sports has been damaged to the point of being almost beyond repair in my opinion. I watched the Vandy debacle yesterday but I wouldn’t have if I had to pay extra for a sports package on Sling. I just don’t care enough. I think a lot of fans are getting tired of donating to an NFL-lite type of system. I don’t believe that the NIL system of paying players will succeed in the long run. I hope not.

Plenty of people are very excited about a 12 team playoff which gives the HOPE for an underdog to win. We'll see how it plays out.
I don't disagree with you, but Vegas, overall viewership (okay I don't know that actual stats here), and general excitement seem to indicate college football in the NIL era isn't going anywhere.
I agree that from an NIL perspective, pay to play has ruined college football and college basketball in terms of what it used to be.
