Not a big FSU fan,
mostly because of the @%#$ tomahawk chop, but, I don't particularly want to see the reputation of their football program go into the dumpster. In spite of the fact that a lot of people seem to think the lawsuits are the beginning of the end of the ACC, and that FSU will land on their feet in another conference, I think FSU may have made a mistake that will hurt their program for a long time. I read the complaints filed by FSU and by the ACC. The FSU complaint doesn't make them sound like someone you would want in your athletic conference -- it sounds more like a school that overestimates their own value and went whining to the court when things didn't go their way. If FSU loses in court, which seems likely to me after reading both complaints, and they lose to Georgia on the field, they're going to look like a whiney, sore loser, who tried to take it out on their own conference. Not good for them, wherever they wind up. FYI, I'm not a big ACC fan either, initially had a lot of sympathy for FSU, and don't discount the possibility that the ACC may be on its last legs. ** Edited by SkyHokie at 12/23/2023, 12:35:48 PM ** Edited by SkyHokie at 12/23/2023, 12:52:01 PM

What does the ACC have to do with this? If their QB was healthy or even the
Backup they wouldn’t have gotten into the playoffs. People blame ESPN but the committee remembers the issue with putting an over Matched team in the playoffs. FSU not the AcC hired Willie taggert who set the program back

The way the ACC has been run is dreadful. But not sure if that translates
into a favorable verdict in the courts though. We are in uncharted waters here. Also, as much as we all know that the ACC is weak, I'm not sure ACC membership is what ended up costing FSU the bid. I just think they got big-timed by Alabama. The CFP (read: ESPN) decided they'd prefer arguably the top brand in the sport, over a mere top 15 brand.

ACC BB has also been getting the shaft on the last few tournaments
You know this because ACC teams usually go relatively far in the tournament, where you see a lot of P5 conference teams get bounced in the first round. We're getting the shaft everywhere.

you never know which way a court is going to go - they can be partisan and
biased (and quite frankly outta whack) just like anyone and anything else. If things go the way of FSU, they look like geniuses. If not, they are sullied and radioactive and will be outcasts stuck in a conference they don't want to be in. It's a 50/50 gamble for FSU - I guess they feel it is worth the risk.
