Highland Park Elementary in Roanoke
This is a PS-5th grade school that has a newspaper club that does the school newspaper. The kids love doing the paper because they learn so much!

Ended up moving to Wasena, but I didn't know HP did that for the students. ðŸ‘
Btw I wasnt impressed with Wasena Elementary. Virginia Heights was a much better school IMO.

They went to Fishburn, then Covid hit. We liked Fishburn, but moved on to Catholic. Wasena was a total mess.

he was there, and then COVID. They both struggled a bunch with online, so we’ve been using their 529s to pay for Catholic. If not for COVID, we wouldn’t have left. I love living in the city, but the schools are a crapshoot.

of teachers that really weren’t fond of. Our son was stuck in a 3rd grade class with more than 30 kids because the city wouldn’t replace a teacher that left. That school can’t get out of its own way. The city seems to not care.
You still in the area?

I'm looking for a loft downtown. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
