Good grief. Are people still hanging on the AAU thing?
One, it’s not a requirement and it never has been. And even if it was, the same people approving an invitation are the same people who make (and can change) the rules.
If a non-AAU institution can bring added value to the B1G - like say Notre Dame - the lack of AAU membership will not be an impediment in any way.
