I keep asking myself, surely Whit has more critical thinking than 4 star recruits. Those comments from ACC coaches (albeit anonymous) about our staff in the preseason were NOT flattering. They even gave Clawson's staff the usual coach speak. Our guys got some serious shade. At the time I was like "woah". It seems like Whit wants to believe the storybook narrative of the second coming of Frank Foster more than the hard facts that great coaches produce. It reeks of desperation. It's beginning to look like the only people sold are the Hokie fans. If Pry and his staff had such low expectations, why in the hell were they and Bud dunking on the previous staff and players as they were flipping burgers on ACCN and touring VA high schools? Surely they are smarter than that. I really thought they were going to get in here and get this bunch playing with more discipline and heart. They can only blame themselves for the swagger creating a fall from grace pretty quickly.
