We'll get a lot better, but likely never reach the best Beamer years...

There is nothing inherently special about Virginia Tech that allows us to perennially be a top 10 team. We also have some disadvantages to other top 10 teams (location, conference affiliation, history, competitive teams nearby). The flip-side is we do have a lot of strengths that should keep us relevant and occasionally can be top 10 (passionate fan base, large stadium, some football history, beautiful campus, solid academics, fertile recruiting areas)
