Google "Pedro Phillips Virginia Tech stats" -- you'll find that sports-reference.com has a Pedro Phillips page, and that's when you find out that it's spelled with an "a", not an "e": https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/padro-philli... 3.) Google "Virginia Tech letter winners" and that will take you to the hokiesports.com Football Letter Winners page, linked below. That's where you find out that Padro -- it is indeed spelled with an "a," which I didn't know -- lettered from 1979-1982. Given that we know that Bruce played at Tech from 1981-1984, then yes, Padro was a little before Bruce, but there were two seasons of overlap. 4.) Ask @PadrosWindup ... he would know.
