I find it interesting that the student activity fee is the last straw to

stop all financial giving to Virginia Tech including Pamplin. That is the cost of doing business at the D1 level as over 80% if D1 schools access a student activity fee. As others have pointed out VT has one of the lowest student activity fees accessed of all universities. Part of being a part of a society is doing what is best for the entire society and not always what is one's individual opinion or choice. There are many local, state and federal taxes that everyone pays that not everyone benefits equally or agrees with but as a society the US has decided that it is best to pay for things through taxes or fee assessments for the betterment of society.
