Yes, I know that Ole Miss, Miss State, KY, and Vandy have smaller stadiums

than VT. However, you can considered those grandfathered in for these purposes. The reason I said VT may have needed to expand Lane back then is because VT may have needed to raise additional capital within a limited period of time to pay for capital athletic projects for whatever reason the SEC wanted to give at the time. The reason I am not including Mizzou is because if VT had joined the SEC, regardless of whether it was in the late '90s or early '00s, then the SEC may have decided to not invite Mizzou to join the conference.
