If your receivers aren't getting separation, it doesn't matter how quick you get the ball out. And if your QB isn't a running threat and everybody in the stadium knows where the QB will be, it's even harder sustain blocks. It takes more than wishful thinking and just releasing the ball quickly to see tremendous improvement. It's certainly a plus, but it won't be tremendous without appreciable improvements elsewhere - including offensive scheme (which was utterly incoherent last year).
