Well, in this case apparently the incident happened

before the transfer portal announcement. Of course you're going to enter the portal when you get dismissed. I'm not seeing anything that indicates he had expressed a desire to transfer earlier. I suppose it's possible an incident or whatever infraction might make it easier/more likely to dismiss someone if you know they want out though. I still don't think anyone is dismissing a player purely for knowing they want to transfer though.
