Sure.... Miami, Clemson and Florida State on any given year can be top 12 (plus maybe outliers like SMU, UNC, Louisville), but VT has just a good a shot at making the playoffs as PSU. We just need the talent and the money. The fact that the SEC has been shut out of the championship game and the ACC is represented is a HUGE argument that open access should continue... meaning a VT team if around #10 shouldn't be excluded due to the conference - cause look what Miami did. ** Edited by jesuisvtguy at 1/13/2026, 2:35:51 PM
