Largest commit sizes to date
Per 247, UNC has the largest class size at 39, momentarily. WVU has 35. See below link.
Quick perusal has 8 of the 10 largest classes are also top 25 rated classes. In other words, the top rated classes are generally top class sizes.
Since class size is limited to 105, that would imply the top rated teams rely less on portal and more on HS recruiting (what you can’t get recruiting you get via portal). Tenuous, perhaps, but my take.
