I would compare to Joe Gibbs 2nd run with Skins

Not bad, but the magic is gone and not enough time to regain it. Saban was not especially great at the Xs and Os. His career was mostly centered around running vanilla with a roster 2x better than the opponent. When that got stale he relied on excellent coordinators to invigorate the offense. His greatest strength was managing a team full of Divas without it going off the rails.
